Wix – Website Design
Wix is an amazing platform that has so many drop and drag elements that you can create a website in without learning to code. Wix is a comprehensive platform that gives you total creative freedom online. I have used Word Press, Shopify, Wix and some coding – Wix is my favourite. However I am not sure that a web designer that uses coding would agree.
With Wix you can manage your CRM, post on social media, run Facebook / Google ads, view your analytics, create automations, email marketing, open an ecommerce store, take bookings, add google maps – I mean the list is endless. Wix helps you with your SEO, has Newsletter and email marketing templates all on the one platform!!
Google Calendar
I can’t stress enough why everyone should absolutely use google and their software – namely Google Calendar. You need to have a calendar system to keep all your tasks organised. You can quickly schedule meetings, events and get reminders about upcoming activities, so you always know what's next.
You can create a new calendar for yourself and each client you work for to document your work and organise your time. You also have the option to put everything on one calendar and use a colour-code system for each client.
Google calendar is accessible on every device, you can set reminders, tasks, events, attach documents you may need to view for appointments, and change your view to your daily schedule, weekly and / monthly. And best of all it is FREE to use.
Google Calendar is designed for teams, so it's easy to share your schedule with others and create multiple calendars that you and your team can use together.
Zoho Social
This is the number 1 tool for me at the minute, although I have used Hootsuite and Buffer and they have all had their benefits. This is one of the best tools for scheduling posts to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram (with the app via your phone).
The bulk upload feature is amazing. This is an all-around great tool to manage your social media on multiple platforms and also for a social media manager.
I would recommend trying them all and see what platform suits you and the needs of your business.
Facebook Built-in Scheduling
I have to say the Facebook Business Manager Platform has come on leaps and bounds, and I use this tool every day! Facebook’s scheduler also allows you to schedule posts in Facebook and Instagram – without the need to confirm in Instagram, like some platforms.
Freshbooks / Quickbooks / Sage
If you need an invoicing system in any business. You might choose from one of these 3 platforms, all 3 are easy to set up and have a nice user interface. Each one will depend on what you are comfortable with.
Evernote
Evernote gives you everything you need from great note taking, project planning, and easy ways to find what you need, when you need it. This is a particularly great research resource in business, life and education. With Evernote you can browse online on your phone, PC, tablet and copy and share these notes to Evernote – keeping them until you are ready for your next project. You have the option to add more than text to your notes, including photos, files and to-do lists.
Other great and additional elements in Evernote is their Web Clipper - lets you save and annotate web pages, images, and PDFs. Evernote also works with the apps you rely on, including Google Drive, Slack, Outlook, MS Teams, Zapier, and Gmail.
This list may seem exhaustive, however you will need, love and use each one on this list if you decide to try them out. These can be used in your personal, work and in student life. Over the years they have evolved and only got better and have FREE options to get you started.
